hi everyone!
to everyone who missed our little meeting tonight, here's an update:
we decided that our meetings need to be a little more fun (similar to the portland street team's tea "parties"), so our next scheduled meeting will be a Wine and Cheese Craft Party/Meeting! We're all going to hang out in my outdoor courtyard and drink wine/eat cheese and make crafts! Everyone should bring a craft to do (I'll put out a little card table to use), some wine, and an interesting cheese. It would also be awesome if we could each bring some promos to share with others- i think that was a good idea before. This will be 2 weeks from today, Thursday July 5th, at 6:30 pm. i'll post directions to my place that week.
on to the next order of business... Pam had a great idea- that we start doing home parties (similar to those candle or tupperware party). we were thinking we'll start with one of us hosting, with a few others showing at the party. the hostess will get free gifts, and we'll all invite people we know to browse our wares and drink some margaritas! i've heard of other artists doing this and making some good money. so, we'd like to work out this idea and plan something during the upcoming Wine and Cheese Party.
that about covers it- i hope we see you all there next time (with wine, cheese, promos, crafts, and lots of ideas!).

Awesome Wren! Looks great...love the picture! I'll be there. I think this is a great opportunity to get together, relax and talk about what we can do to promote our shops.

Oooooo I'm so bummed I won't be able to make that one! I leave for the coast that next morning for my wedding. I'll be packing up my car yet again that night!

Kiley, I owe you money for the cards. I feel bad! I will bring it when we're all in the same place at the same time.
On Saturday I found out about Florence market. It is the 2nd and 4th Sundays from May through September. It is $25 for a yearly membership plus $25 for a 10x10 space (corners are $30). It runs from 10-6 and check-in is by 8:30am. I asked about sharing, and he said that's fine. Oh, and it's on the boardwalk next to Mo's and ICM. That's it! :/ I wont be able to make this one either. I have a car now, but im working 2-11 on thursday :( This sounds like such a fun idea too! I wanna get together and craft! lol Perhaps the next one I can make. Is it a possibility to change these things to monday or wednesday? at about the same time? I know thursday works well for everyone but i doubt ill be able to make thursdays anymore with work making me close A LOT! :/ let me know girls and have fun at your next meeting!!!
wednesday would actually be easier for me because i work until 6 on thursday...

Oh no...just realized that Wednesday is 4th of July!
wednesday works for me, but i don't really care about the 4th of july. fireworks aren't until later anyway. we could also do it tuesday if that works better?

Well if we move to Tuesdays I will only be albe to make one meeting a month. I have my book arts meetings on the 3rd Tuesday of every month.
That being said next week is not the third Tuesday so I *might* be able to make it. I finished my wedding album today and have started in on the 60 boxes I need to make for wedding favors. If I don't have them done by then I'll come by and make some boxes with everyone! I haven't seen you guys in a while!
Alison no worries about the money you are not the only person who still owes me. I have only gotten money from Brandy and Pam.
I'll let you know closer to Tuesday what my life looks like then.
uh-oh, I am now going to be away for a few weeks. It's the trip I was supposed to have taken in June, so I can't make it now! I'm sorry!! :( I'll check in when I return. I hope the party is fun! Let me know if I can do anything for the stuff we've been discussing.
