Meeting Last Night!
Hi everyone!
Hi everyone!
Pam and I met last night - we missed you all, but everyone is so busy! We discussed another trunk show and also doing a few shows at Washington Abby. This is centrally located and has built-in customers (residents) and we can also open to the public. Sounds good?.
The date we discussed for the trunk show is September 29th. This is a Saturday and I am offering my house. I thought about this on the way home and thought Sunday might be better because then it does not interfere with you who do the Saturday Market. Also more folks might have Sunday off to come instead of Saturday. So I guess that would mean September 30th. What do you all think? I have enough space to have 8-10 vendors.
Dates we discussed for Washington Abby were October 27th and November 24th, but again should they be Sunday? And I still have to check on availability - missed her today.
Please comment as to your thoughts, ideas and availability!
Thanks!
karen

Thanks Karen! I think both Washington Abbey and the trunk show are great opportunities for our group. We just need to do some planning, advertising, flyers...things like that. The cost for either are minimal. I'd love to hear what you all think :)

I would be interested in both. I should be free for any of those dates, I am starting school at lane in the fall and will also be working but I should have some free time (fingers crossed).
I am sorry I missed the last meeting but things in my life have been very crazy lately. Looking forward to seeing everyone soon.

Well - I spoke to Marie at Washington Abbey. October 27th was not available, but November 24th is - so I signed up for that date.
Here are the dates available --
Sept 22, Sept 29, Oct 6, Oct 13, Dec 1, Dec 22nd. Did not ask about other dates in November because we already wanted Nov. 24th. I know some of those are not good dates, just listing them.
Thanks everyone and let me know what you think!

Hmmmm...just throwing my thoughts in...I wouldn't want to do any Sept. or Dec. shows at Wash. Abbey, so that leaves Oct. 6 or 13. Out of those 2 I'd say the 13th would be best. And, I still like the idea of having a trunk show at the end of Sept. I'd love to hear everyone's thoughts on that. We do need to firm up these dates soon, so speak up :)
I am in for the trunk show at the end of this month. I would like to do the show on the 24th of Nov. but don't want to promise anything until my family matters clear up, I might be needing to go home that weekend.
As for the October dates I might be able to do one. I hate to be so wishy washy but I just signed up for classes at lane and it's gonna be a lot more work than I thought. I'll know for sure at the end of sept. when I get my class outlines.
Sorry I can't be more committal right now, but things are in general a mess for me and I'm not sure when I'm gonna find time to do some binding.
OOPs - I can't do the 13th of October, but I don't have to be there. My daughter's wedding.
I want someone(s) to go with me to choose how to set up the room, so you'll get to know Marie then. She is very nice and very accommodating.

i probably won't be able to participate in one at the end of the month- i'll be traveling until right before that date, and when i get home i REALLY need to be looking for a job :) i think it would be good to do it on sunday so saturday market people can come...
as far as i know oct.13 and nov.24th are okay, but i'm a bit nervous about comitting to them since a) i don't know what my work schedule will be, and b) if pam and i are doing the holiday market during november/december i might be low on stock...
when do you think we need a list of who's going to participate for each date?
Well...we really don't need everyone to commit to the dates. I guess we just want everyone to be able to put their 2 cents in on how they feel about it and if they do have a preference. These are great selling opportunities and will cost very little money. It would really be great to get organized and do a show together...just my thought. We could even ask other people to participate.
