Eugene Street Team craft show was a hit!

Hey Everyone,
I just dropped the portion that we raised for OCCU and First Place off to Kristi at OCCU. Kristi missed the show because she was sick, but employees have been approaching her all morning and remarking how nice the show was. There's a buzz around OCCU and it's all about the ETSY artists. Kristi was very impressed and is already thinking of next year. I mentioned the huge grassy area in front of the corporate offices - how it would be perfect for a spring/summer show and Kristi just loved the idea.

The Eugene Etsy Street Team was a huge hit!

One day till the craft show!

Hey Everyone,
Last night's meeting was a blast! We had some new faces and all went around the table sharing a little about ourselves and our ETSY crafts. We talked about tomorrow's craft show and finalized quite a few things.

The tables that are provided are 6 feet long and approx. 2 or 2 1/2 feet wide. Don't forget your table covering as part of your display.

The big news is that OCCU has opened the craft show to the piblic. The corporate employees have been telling their friends and family, and the branch employees have been sharing information with credit union members. I think that we're in for a fantastically big show. Please invite your family, friends, and coworkers as well.

We'll have a designated area of tables for the artists who won't be able to stay for the show - with signs to direct the shoppers to a checkout table to pay for those items. Most artists will be conducting sales at their table. All artists are welcome to send purchases through the checkout table if the shopper needs to pay for several different items, but with one check or credit card. We'll get plenty of practice with this show, that's for sure.

On a side note ..... Does anyone have time (or supplies) to make the signs (mentioned above) this evening? If not, I'll try to come up with something before I leave work today.
Well, that was longwinded, but hopefully full of useful stuff. Thankfully, my messages are getting shorter (I think).

More OCCU Craft Show details

Good Day Everyone,
We had a meeting last Wednesday, but I decided to post the details on the OCCU craft show till today for all of our members who traveled for the Thanksgiving Holiday.

Mark your calendars for December 7th!

The spaces are filling up fast. With twenty tables available, we already have 10 confirmations for the show. Email me soon if you are interested in a table space. The room is large enough to accommodate more, but OCCU only has 20 tables available..... after that, we'll have to scour our garages for folding tables and such. In addition, we can expand if needed by opening a partition and using the adjoining room.

The headquarters of Oregon Community Credit Union are located at 2880 Chad Drive just off Coburg Road, North of Beltline. I'll have maps at the next meeting (Dec 5th) for everyone. Set up will be from 8am till 10am. The show will begin at 10am and run until 3pm (possibly later). Sometimes, you get those last minute shoppers who'll keep you hopping until 3:30 or 4pm. We hope to have everything packed up and ready to go by 5pm (the building closes around 5:30).

In lieu of a table fee, a donation of 10% of each artist's total sale was suggested. This 10% goes back to OCCU for their holiday charities.OCCU has asked that each artist provide a table covering (to protect the tables) and for building safety, no open flames.

You'd like to participate, but can't take the time off from work or school? We'll have enough members to set up a checkout area where customers can shop and pay for everything at one time. Please make sure that you have string tags or removable stickers with your shop name and the dollar amount. We plan to accept cash, checks, and credit cards at the checkout table. I'll have to get a feel from others on the idea of using recycled grocery bags and newspaper (for wrapping) for the customer's purchases. I have one-sized clothing bag that I use in my booth at the market but I'm down to 100 bags or so. Not sure if that's enough for the craft show.

I'm sure that I'm missing pits and piece here and there, but will add more as it pops into my head.I'll post this on the Google group sight as well.

Please share with other members who may not visit the blog on a regular basis. Don't want to miss anyone.

Etsy Arts and Craft Show at OCCU

Hello Everyone,

In last night's meeting, we discussed the opportunity for a craft show at the headquarters of Oregon Community Credit Union in Eugene. I'll meet with Krista (OCCU) this Friday to see the room and establish some times for set up and breakdown. The date is set as Friday, December 7th. Keep in mind, you don't have to take the day off from work to man your table. We 'll have a set-up time to drop off your things, as well as a time to pick up. I've taken the day off from work, and with the help of one or two crafters, we can have a checkout table. I'll add more details on Friday after meeting with Krista.

Hey Everybody!!

I have the revised flyer finished. I will upload a copy. In the process of printing out two sizes - 4" x 6" and 1/2 sheet size. Please contact me to get copies - I am going to be out of town Friday, Saturday and Sunday and will deliver or be available on Thursday. I made the suggested changes to the flyer, but let me know if I missed something or there are any other changes. I will be printing it out as we go so changes will work. Then we will have it perfected for November and can order through Vista Print!!

Our next meeting is Wednesday the 17th and the plan is to make signs for the sale. Any suggestions on where we could do that. We will have some new folks joining us and I am not sure my house will be big enough, but can make it work if we don't think of anything else.

Are we all responsible for brining our own change?
Are we going to have internet access to take things out of our shops if they sell or to take paypal/credit card payments with?

Etsy Portland Fair

This is an Etsy sponsored fair and not by the Portland team alone, looks like it could be a lot better than the outdoor one this summer. No word on cost, booth size, etc yet. That should be up on storque later this week. The info that is out right now is here!

Meeting Last Night!

Hello Everyone!

We had a meeting last night and there were two new faces - plus me!

!Spring from Yodamoon and Susan with S E H What! Very glad you both have joined us!

We decided upon Sunday, September 30th for the trunk show. I will make up invites for that and get some to everyone. I will try to have them finished by next Tuesday.

The Artist's Shows at Washington Abbey will be Friday, October 19th and Saturday, November 24th. We can decide at the next meeting what format we want for those, but if we do them boutique style then people who can't be there can still participate. The November date is firm, but October date is still soft, will know for sure this afternoon. I will make up one postcard for these two sales. Because these will be open to the public I want to do a slick postcard for hanging and mailing. What I need from everyone who wants to participate is two pics of product you would like on the postcard. I will do a collage for one side of the card.

We discussed possibilities of other sale opportunities so hoping that more people can come to the next meeting to help with the planning.

Susan, !Spring, my husband and myself participated in the ETSY at the Beach sale and had a great time. It was successful for me in terms of sales and valuable learning lessons. This was my first Show and although I have been selling cards on the internet for about 3 years I learned a valuable lesson in the power of the customer seeing and experiencing the product. It was great fun!

Meeting Last Night!

Hi everyone!

Pam and I met last night - we missed you all, but everyone is so busy! We discussed another trunk show and also doing a few shows at Washington Abby. This is centrally located and has built-in customers (residents) and we can also open to the public. Sounds good?.

The date we discussed for the trunk show is September 29th. This is a Saturday and I am offering my house. I thought about this on the way home and thought Sunday might be better because then it does not interfere with you who do the Saturday Market. Also more folks might have Sunday off to come instead of Saturday. So I guess that would mean September 30th. What do you all think? I have enough space to have 8-10 vendors.

Dates we discussed for Washington Abby were October 27th and November 24th, but again should they be Sunday? And I still have to check on availability - missed her today.

Please comment as to your thoughts, ideas and availability!

i believe we are scheduled to have another meeting this coming wednesday (aug. 22nd). since we don't have much in the works, and i know courtney is moving and emily is busy wedding planning, maybe we should postpone it? in general i think if we meet once a month that would be sufficient- unless we're planning some event and really need to get together. what do you all think? maybe we could meet the first wednesday of every month or something?

i just want to give you all the heads up about a new website i just joined. it's called Flying Cart, and i think it's just for selling clothing- but i could be wrong. i have to look into it a little more, but just thought i'd share for those who sell clothing as well (Courtney!). the regular package is free, but if you want to have more than 10 items listed etc., you have to get the $12 package. anyway, let me know what you think!

Hi All
Just a summary of our meeting tonight. We are hosting our first "Etsy Trunk Show" For those of you who don't know what this is...Its like a home party. Were going to be inviting people to this show and we will kind of introduce ourselves and show our items and we'll have drinks and snacks and it will be like a little party. We are really hoping that everyone that is interested will come to this show. Especially if you are interested in hosting or selling at one of these events. We want to start having more regular members in our group so we can all truly benefit and promote each other. These trunk shows have proven to be successful as told by forum posts on etsy. So let's all participate and make this a wonderful event!

Come join the fun! We have some exciting things coming up. We're talking trunk shows! (home shows) Hopefully everyone will be interested in being involved. It's a great way to promote our shops and put money in our pockets! Our first show will be August 1st.

UPDATE: wine and cheese craft meeting info

just in case you've missed the discussion in the comments, the meeting for this week has been switched to TUE. JULY 3rd at 6:30pm. this seems to work better for everyone in light of the 4th of july and work schedules (we can talk about changing the regular meeting day on tuesday).

so, remember to bring the following: wine or your drink of choice, an interesting cheese (and maybe some bread or something to go with it), a craft project, some promos and/or business cards to share, and ideas!

check out MapQuest for a map of where my house is. it is just past world cafe (about 1.5 blocks): continue on blair until the road forks at the Red Barn grocery store- take the right fork. w.3rd alley is immediately to your right at that stop sign. i would park on the main street and then walk into the alley since there's not much parking. my apartment building is on the left- the address is 1075, the building is painted green, and there is a fence and gate into the courtyard. you'll see me because my apartment is right inside the gate. feel free to call me (at 541-683-0690) if you get lost or anything.

WINE and CHEESE CRAFT PARTY!!

hi everyone!
to everyone who missed our little meeting tonight, here's an update:

we decided that our meetings need to be a little more fun (similar to the portland street team's tea "parties"), so our next scheduled meeting will be a Wine and Cheese Craft Party/Meeting! We're all going to hang out in my outdoor courtyard and drink wine/eat cheese and make crafts! Everyone should bring a craft to do (I'll put out a little card table to use), some wine, and an interesting cheese. It would also be awesome if we could each bring some promos to share with others- i think that was a good idea before. This will be 2 weeks from today, Thursday July 5th, at 6:30 pm. i'll post directions to my place that week.

on to the next order of business... Pam had a great idea- that we start doing home parties (similar to those candle or tupperware party). we were thinking we'll start with one of us hosting, with a few others showing at the party. the hostess will get free gifts, and we'll all invite people we know to browse our wares and drink some margaritas! i've heard of other artists doing this and making some good money. so, we'd like to work out this idea and plan something during the upcoming Wine and Cheese Party.

that about covers it- i hope we see you all there next time (with wine, cheese, promos, crafts, and lots of ideas!).

Meeting?

We are due this week for our second meeting of the month. I won't be able to make but wanted to remind everyone else on the off chance we had some people interested. I'll be loading my moving van in preparation for moving this Friday.

General Meeting on Thursday, June 7

We are going to start having meetings every other Thursday so everyone can plan on it. We will meet at the World Cafe at 6:30 pm. Please bring any promo items you have, especially biz cards. Some of us who are going to the Portland show next weekend would love to have them available to hand out. And, remember, the more you get your name out there and people visiting your shop, the more successful your shop with be. So bring on the promos!

i'm bored at work (as usual) and decided to look up info about the Emerald Empire Hempfest that was we talked about at our last meeting. i didn't see anything on the website about an application due date, so we probably have time to talk about participating at our next meeting (june7th)...

- it is Friday-Sunday, July 20-22 (the weekend after Oregon Country Fair), which could be good because out-of-town people might still be in the area
- they estimate a turnout of about 4500 people this year
- it's located at Washington/Jefferson park
- they say that earth-friendly & hemp-based products seem to sell the best
- there is a Hemp Fashion show where vendors can display/model their items that are for sale
- a Standard Vendor Booth is 10x15ft, $200 for all 3 days, $75 for 1 day

Thats like $2 each, If no one else wants to do it I'll put the order but I need the image by the end of the day to have the postcards here before the show. If we wait anymore we will have to pay more for shipping to have them in time.

Regular Meetings & Other Stuff

Hi Everyone!

We had a small meeting tonight and decided in efforts to grow the group we need to set regular meeting times. We picked the first and third Thursday of the month. That means our next meeting will be June 7th at 6:30 at World Cafe. The meeting after that will be on the 21st same time and place.

It turns out crafty wonderland was a bust, maybe the weekend, maybe the location....

We talked about doing the Sunday market in Florence, it's $30 and they don't have issues with booth sharing. Brandi is looking into the details for us along with details of the fall street fair on campus.

Other random details:
Pam is still working on the banner listed below. Squares should be 12" square. You only need to make a square if you are going to the Portland fair. The rest of us don't have to worry until we are doing a joint fair.
Pam has found it to be cheaper to ship large packages via UPS rather than the USPS. UPS -$13, USPS- $30!!!!
Please round up promo's and business cards for the up coming meeting for the Portland fair and other sellers. Pam's selling like a mad woman and needs more things from us!

I think that's most of the high points, we will be posting information on shows as we find it out!

Just a few things...

Some of us will be going up to Portland next month to participate in the Portland Etsy Craft Fair and it would be nice if we could promote Eugene Etsy as a whole. So, for the members that are going, we need to meet and get organized. I have volunteered to put together a fabric banner for us to use at the show. Each member will make their own square to represent their shop. The way I have it visualized is that we will have a base banner which will say "Eugene Etsy Street Team" at the top and we will attached everyone's square (but not permanently). That way we can use the banner for other shows when others participate. Any suggestions on this would be welcome.

Another thing is that it would be nice to have the postcards available to hand out at the show. Also, for members that are not participating, I would be happy to hand out business cards, promos, whatever with your shop address on it...to promote traffic to your shops, too. If you'd like to give me promos for the show, just convo me. Speaking of promos, I am completely out of promos to send out with packages. Yay! I've actually been selling stuff....which is exciting. So, if anyone wants to give me promos to send out in packages, that would be awesome,too.

Now, about the postcards. If there are members who have not made it to any meetings, but are still interested in having your shop featured on the postcard, please post here. We would like to get as many members involved as possible and I know that with busy schedules, it's hard to get to meetings. But, you can also be involved here...on the blog. So, speak up and let us know that you are interested!

So, I guess what we/I need to know is do we want to schedule a meeting for all members regarding the postcards, promo items, etc.? We do have a couple new folks that are interested in being involved, so it might be nice to meet sometime. And, next....for folks going to Portland, do we want to meet and get things organized? We still need to figure out lodging....ugh.

Any comments or items I missed, please don't hesitate to comment here. And, please don't be shy. Everyone is welcome to post on the blog.

to anyone who missed our thursday meeting, we just discussed the upcoming craftywonderland and portland fair events. if you are participating in either of these, but did not come please let us know. :)

basically what we decided, about craftywonderland, is wren and emily will be carpooling with their items and molly and courtney with theirs. we're going to drive up together, and hit up fabric depot on the way home!

our plans so far, about the june event, are to carpool to portland friday (june 8) in the evening, and get a hotel room- since setup is at 6:30am the next day! wren and pam will be carpooling with their items and courtney and molly with theirs. it will be a tight squeeze in both cars, so anyone else who wants to go will have to work out other carpooling/driving arrangements, sorry!

also, it's probably a good idea to get on the event planning website and reserve a table space- you can pay later but should do that now so you're in.

hey guys,
i got an update today on the fair. it sounds like anyone who's interested should get in on it asap! i'm pretty sure i'm going.. who else is? here's the info i got today from urbabna:

1. payment options for table space
We are doing the tables by linear foot. It costs $6 a foot. if you want a 2 foot table it is $12. etc. If you have a tent we ask that you share it with fellow Etsy people. hope you are all enjoying your week so far! there was a notice in the pdx etsy group conversation that a website has been set up to coordinate the june event. anyone who has emailed them to say they're interested is on there, i believe. if you haven't done that, but are interested in being involved in the event, i suggest you do so asap.

to log into the site the username is your etsy username/shop name and the password is pdxetsy. they want us to post a comment that we're checking in so they can see who all has done it. when you're in the message screen click on people at the upright corner and you'll be able to change your first name to your real first name (leave your last name as your user/shop name), update your email, and add a photo.

Ok everyone I think I am going to be doing some heavy photoshopping tonight to make a new banner for my store, work on my blog, & my post card image. While I'm at it I would love to start working on an idea for the post cards.

As we talked about at the meeting last night we want to have post cards printed up to promote our shops. We are going to create a code that is good for 10% off in all of our stores. This post card will have a small image of your choice to promote your shop. There is a small cost (at most $5 each- and thats really high) that will be determined once we know how many shops we have participating.

If you would like to participate please put a link to your shop and a link to the image you would like to have used. Please use high res images so they look good when shrunk down! To be included in this promotion please reply to this thread with the requested information by April 27th at 8pm (one week from posting date).

below i've posted a list of ideas i've had for promo items. even if you don't want to make any of them, hopefully they'll help you get ideas! also, don't worry about making stuff that says your shop name, or has anything to do with your shop or what you usually sell. if it's kind of close that's great, but i wouldn't stress out about it for now. just be sure to bring business cards (or something else with your name on it) to attach to them and the customers will still like getting a small gift and will check out your shop because of it. i know i always do that!

business card-size handmade envelopes, from recycled papers etc. (i've been doing this and putting business cards inside for customers, i just got a small envelope i liked and used it as a pattern)
business cards (or other fun stuff) printed onto magnet sheets
handmade or printed stickers, on sticker paper (logo/business info/other cute stuff)!
oragami boxes or other things
postcard size, or smaller, art prints
handmade paper
booklets etc. with etsy, or eugene etsy, street team facts

also- i've received a couple emails from one of the people organizing the upcoming spring portland etsy show. i've pasted them below so you all know what is going on- let's talk at our next meeting about participating...

It is time to get up to speed! Larissa from larrisaelaborates.etsy and I went down to the Woman's Studies Department to reserve a PSU park block for the upcoming sale.Here is what we know about the PSU site:
-Our Etsy sale will be sponsored by the Women's Studies Program. The PSU
blocks would be costing us $900 or so to rent from the city but their
sponsorship will mean that the park fee is waived allowing us to have our
sale *right next to the farmer's market* .
- The proposed dates are June 9th with the back up date being June 16th (note from wren- this second date is uo graduation).
-This site is the block just south of the farmers market.
-There is a loading zone on site and a parking garage on Harrison and
Broadway (around the corner for after we unload)
-We are slated to set up at (wait for it...) 6:30 a.m. and we can pull
down as late as 5 p.m. the farmer's market is from 8 -2 I believe
-.There is a massive information network on campus that we can use to
promote our sale because of this sponsorship.
- In return proceeds raised from table fees will go to the program "Walk
of Heroines".

What we don't know:
-Since all of this is contingent of the event coordinator approving the
event we have to wait until we hear back.
Larissa, and I did speak with him already and it seemed like a go.
-Would you please let me know if you have a pop up canopy that you will
use and if can you share?
-I would also like to know if you will be needing electricity. We may
have access to a small amount, we may not.
-I was thinking the fairest thing would be to charge ourselves by the
length of your table. If we can get you to pay $6 a foot then the fee would be more progressive.
If you want a ten footer you pay $60 if you want a 2 footer you pay $10.Please bear in mind that the money we generate will go back into advertising and whatever is left over will go to a righteous cause.

Some of you have emailed back concerning tents. the park block we have(fingers crossed) has a giant "X:" running through it. I had to draw a little map of what the fair would look like.
So hopeful we would lash the tents together for maximum coverage having "corner stone" tents at each right angle. Make sense? Probably not but the point is that if we share tents we can all be covered.

Would some one be interested in coordinating this?

Donation to PSU Woman's Studies - let's do a raffle, or simple have an
information table set up where we can have both Etsy info,
maybe a laptop or two (one for etsy one for PSU) brochures,promos and
said raffle...and then a collection jar for the PSU project.

hi again! aren't these cows funny! so, i just wanted to let you all know that the application for next months Craftywonderland show is due the 15th (which is this sunday). it will be on mothers day, may 13th- which i think could bring a good turn-out of moms and daughters. i've already submitted my application and would love it (as would my car) if others wanted to come/carpool as well! so, please submit and let me know.

i liked the group postcards linked from the comments last time- very professional and nice. i do think that we could do the same thing with vista print ourselves, and it would be a lot cheaper because they have free deals on postcards all the time. we would just have to pay for shipping and to upload our image. they also have extra big postcards (i think they're 8.5x5 in. or so) which you get less of but could be cool. so, let's talk about that idea at our next get together.

it would be great if we could use the puzzle post cards from joannes (as courtney mentioned in the last comments), but that could get to be pretty expensive- not sure how much they cost. it would be pretty easy to make them i think. especially if we did it as a group together. so why don't we all plan on bringing some supplies for making those to our next meeting... unless you all want to use the pre-made ones. does that sound good- a group craft project!?

also, with all the yammering on i did at the last meeting about cross-promoting, marketing, networking, blogging etc. i thought it would be good to share some links that i found in case you all want to use them etc. :) i might as well share this info i spend way to much of my time finding!

Meeting Notes/Update

hi everyone,
for those who couldn't make it to our meeting yesterday (we missed you!) i wanted to give you an overview of what we talked about. we discussed a bunch of ideas for helping each other by cross-promoting. the most popular ideas were:

a) we are each going to make a bunch of promo items and bring them to our next meeting to exchange. please try to make at least 2 for each person (there are about 8 people who show up regularly), and of course keep them light and inexpensive. also bring business cards with you. this way when we sell something we can give them cards and promos from everyone in the group, plus a flyer with all of our info on it!

b) we'd like to do a frequent buyer card that can be used at anyones shop within our group. when they fill it up they can get a discount or something (details still to be worked out). we had a hard time figuring out how to do this- i kept thinking about it last night and, with help from my boyfriend, i think i came up with a good solution. i'd like to make a small (maybe postcard size) puzzle that has eugene etsy or something written on the front, and a promo code on the back. i'll then cut it up into different pieces so that the whole picture and promo code can't be seen until a person collects all pieces. when they have them all then they have the code, and therefore the discount! what do you guys think? i think it will be cute, and will be something we can all do easily, once we work out how to do the discount thing. they could be printed by someone, or i may be able to screen print them...

okay, we'd like to meet in about 2 weeks- so get workin' on those promos and keep brainstorming!

EUGENE ETSY GROUP MEETING

Based on comments from the last post, we will be meeting THIS Thursday, April 5th @ 6:30 pm. Unless there are any objections let's meet at World Cafe (aka New Day Bakery) again, which is located on Blair between 4th and 5th. Let's all wear something RED so if new people come they will know it's us! (Hear that new people, look for RED!). Also, please bring ideas for group promoting/projects etc. that we can discuss.

Hope to see you all there! Pretty please please please comment on this post if you CANNOT make it (even the day of), so one person doesn't end up there alone. It takes more than 1 or 2 people to really make this work :)

Cool street team stuff!!

hi all!
it's been so long, i feel like we should get together soon! how does next week sound? also, just in case you all haven't visited the etsy blog lately, they've just revamped the team page and there's all kinds of cool stuff on there now. great info on doing fairs and advertising, buttons you can put on your blog, and other stuff you can download. if you explore a little there is also a place for different things teams are doing through the sight- like challenges and stuff. i'm going to print all the info out and start a little folder/binder for our street team okay. i'll bring it to meetings and we can use it for brainstorming and working out details! yay!

let's get together and work on promotion asap :)

hi all!
i just did a little research to follow up on a few things we discussed yesterday:

first, i looked into eugene weekly ad space (via their website). there are two types of ads offered- display ads and classified display ads. the least expensive display ad is $179 for one week, and is 1/12 of a page! yikes! the least expensive classified display ad is $70 for one week, and is 1/32 of a page- better in price, but fairly small. if we were doing an event or something, and had enough people to chip in, the display ad might be feasible, but definitely not at this point!

second, i checked into the spring street faire. it's a good thing i did too, because the application is due march 20th (tuesday). that is probably cutting it a little close, but here's the info: it runs from wednesday, may 2nd through friday may 4th (10-5). a 10x10 space is $125 for all 3 days, a 10x20 space is $250, a table outside is $75. the website said spaces are limited, they expect it to sell out early, and to send in the application and fees asap. it didn't mention anything about sharing, so it seems like that would be fine. it's usually nice weather then, so a table might work with a canopy thing... i would love to do this if others want to work together/chip in/share, so email me (wbirdy@gmail.com) with your thoughts- since we need to apply asap.

third, as i mentioned last night, anyone who is interested in being involved with the pdx street team's fair this spring needs to send a convo to urbana on etsy. she needs your: username, full name, phone number(s), city you live in (duh!), and amount of space you require.

Hi all...Pam here. We are now an official Etsy Street Team! Check it out http://team.etsy.com/profilest/or.shtml It would be nice to put together a profile at some time, but for now I think that's a great start. Another thing that we can do is post upcoming events on that site. Which brings me to a subject that we have discussed in our meetings. We would love to be able to have a sale or booth in a show as a group to get the word out about Etsy and, of course, to promote our shops. If anyone has any ideas on this, please post in comments or contact me. Some possibilities might be church bazaars, spring flower shows, coffee shops that like to promote local artists...things like that. Any ideas?

Im here to catch ya up.
I feel like we got the ball rolling in the right direction with todays meet at Sweet Life. :) We have a great little group being formed!
Our main topic of conversation was flyers! We wanna get them up and around town! We decided to use one of the downloads directly from etsy and add our shop names to the other side. :) I decided to work on them today because now you can all view them in plenty of time before I give them to Emily to print this next saturday. Make sure your name is presented as you want it to be and triple check my spelling. I double checked it but you never know ;)

I am also going to work on getting us a blog counter, just another thing that we wanted added to the blog.

Wren had a good idea, she mentioned everyone's shop announcement having something about being involved in the etsy street team. Possibly a link to the blog, or the admin street team page as soon as they set one up for us. Word it however you want (after all it is your shop) but it would be nice to have that on all of our pages to help all of us promote each other!

I am going to be adding everyones personal blog links to the side of our street team blog so we can all link to each other! Please send me your blog page if you have one and Ill be happy to add it.

We talked about buttons being made and flyers(like the ones above) made on nice cardstock to send with items we sell! Next meet Emily should have those printed up for us and also some news on the buttons. :D

This brings me to our next meet time/Date/Place. Pam informed us that it is difficult for a lot of you to meet on Sundays so, we are going to try Thursday evening. Thats
